(PM) Cultivating Critical Thinking: Highlights of LACMA’s Modern Art Collection
There’s a difference between looking and seeing. In this introductory tour, students hone their perception and reasoning skills in exploring how artists use visual elements and materials to create meaning. Through careful observation, conversation, and critical thinking, students learn to not just look, but to really see, engaging in dialogue based on their “reading” of the work.Each tour will include 6 objects; a 10 minute discussion at each object includes grade-level appropriate questions and activities.
