This two-day virtual class is taught in Spanish. LACMA Educators will join your virtual classroom to facilitate two consecutive days of 1hr live visits. Day 1 focuses on object-based learning; examining primary source works of art in LACMA’s Art of the Ancient America’s collection. Day 2 is a curriculum-aligned hands-on art making workshop utilizing at-home materials and zoom applications. Virtual classes are limited to Title 1 schools. Classes are listed as 90 minute windows, allowing for flexibility - exact times within that window and the length of the workshop will be tailored to fit your virtual classroom. Sign-ups are required at least a week prior to the virtual class and a LACMA staff member will reach out to you for orientation, and class logistics. The lesson includes supplemental Teachable courses focusing on LACMA’s Art of the Americas focusing on several themes, including: People, Places and their Environment, Traditions, Rituals and Worldview, and Communication and Exchange.
